Down to the Last EURO 2008 Game

Alright, it has been a month since the EUROCUP 2008 tournament started. It had united (and in odd cases might have divided) people together in this exciting game of soccer. However, no one knows who would eventually win. People thought that Russia, Netherlands and Poland would've won; but no, they all went down the drain. Both countries that I supported, Portugal and France both went down the drain as well. So what now? Well, we got Spain and Germany.

So who is really worthy to win? Well, for the past few games, it looked like Germany only performed "average" than their usual performances, especially in their semi-final matches. They barely beat Turkey 3 - 2. That's not a stunning game for them since on their better games, they would've just cleaned them like Spain did to Russia, 3 - 0. However, I should give credits to Turkey, they performed a lot better than they used to but if they beat Germany, that would be the biggest surprise yet like how Russia snuck up to the semi-finals. Spain did well against Russia. Like Turkey, Russia was a strong team that Spain had to sink if it wanted to survive. Would Spain resort to the penalty kicks to win against Germany? Maybe if they had to do that with Italy. Both Italy and Germany are powerhouses as well, it will be hard to see who's the winner.

However, based on these facts and analysis, I think Spain will win this game, but it won't be easy. Both sides are determined to win. Like Dr. Farnsworth said in Futurama, "parallel violence never works." Well, we can say that parallel forces never work either.
