Disney Hatches Another Original Movie
April 24th, 2009 marked the birth of the Disney Channel Original Movie, Hatching Pete. A story about two teenage boys, Pete Ivey (Jason Dolley), and his best friend Cleatus Poole (Mitchel Musso) and a chicken suit.
Cleatus Poole is known as the school mascot. However, the basketball coatch decides to give him a new chicken suit. Unfortunately, he's allergic to the new suit. So, Cleatus drags his best friend Pete and hatches a plan so that he could avoid wearing the chicken suit without anyone noticing. Pete reluctantly accepts to be the chicken. The town soon found out that Cleatus wasn't the chicken, will Pete ever reveal that he's the chicken?
Hatching Pete is a great movie for all ages. With a deep message to anyone of all ages. The movie was both exciting and was a pleasure to watch. Jason Dolley and Mitchel Musso's performance was outstanding. Dolley's performance was great. It was interesting to see him with a completely different personality than how he was when he was playing as Newton Livingston in the TV show Cory in the House. It is great to see something different from Jason Dolly. However, Musso extended the personality from his role as Oliver Okin in the hit TV show Hannah Montana over to his character as Cleatus in this movie, which is quite interesting because it fits so well.
It is definitely not a movie you would want to miss. With a lot of Disney Channel Original Movies this year like Dadnapped!, Princess Protection Program and Wizards of Waverly Place: Stone of Dreams. It's going to be hard to choose which ones to watch but this is definitely a movie you should watch!
If you missed it during the premiere. Don't worry, you can catch it again on Sunday, April 26, 2009 on Family Channel at 12:00pm!

Pete's first game as "The Chicken," gets off to a rocky start. He gets to the door and is knocked over, and initially wants to go home. However, when the audience (and cheerleaders) laugh at his recovery, he realizes he has gotten Cammie's attention and starts to be more adventurous inside the suit.
Teen Disney Television stars Jason Dolley, Mitchell Musso, and Tiffany Thornton star in Hatching Pete. Musso is the school's chicken mascot, a family tradition as his father was one also. The problem is that Musso's developed an allergy to the costume and just can't go on. So he has good friend and wallflower transfer student Jason Dolley put on the suit for a game.
