HP to voluntarily recall defective batteries
Health Canada and the US Consumer Product Safety Commission recently released details that Hewlett Packard is going to voluntarily recall batteries that may become a fire hazard. Should you have the affected batteries. Health Canada and the US Consumer Product Safety Commission advise to discontinue use of the listed batteries.

The affected batteries were sold by Hewlett Packard between August 2007 and March 2008 and were manufactured in China. You will have to contact HP support's hotline to get a free battery replacement.
