Facebook Usernames

Long time Facebook users are used to these types of URLs: facebook.com/profile.php?id=xxxxxxxxx. However, starting today, Facebook will allow you to create usernames. Now you can have Facebook profile URLs like mine: facebook.com/<username>

Sure, I know it's long long long overdue as most social networking site already allowed you to do that from the get go like MySpace. Even the redesigned Hi5 which was launched a few years ago allowed you to create your own subdomain name. Even smaller social networking sites like Bebo has allowed their users to choose their own usernames.

So now that you know, you can change your username at http://www.facebook.com/username/ ... make sure that you logged on first though ;)!
