The Gears

This is a poem that I wrote during English class because my English teacher wanted us to write a poem within 15 minutes. So the first thing I could think of was Gears of War since it was a Friday when I wrote it and I really want to jump on my XBOX 360 to play the game.

Well, here's the poem!

Chainsaws, guns firing off
It's a bitter sweet feeling
as flesh and steel collide
The blood tastes like steel
as it splatters all over you
The council was impressed of
course when you made it out
Tell me, my bayonet, was I
good to you when I pulled the trigger?
The redness of the day made me
uncomfortable, however I have a job to do
As the saw rattles through the enemy like
Gears of War, it makes it mighty pleasant
The chainsaw cut through the Locust
like tigers eating them alive
The red colour screaming in pain
